AI for restaurants: take booking requests while you're on the pass

AI for restaurants: AI per Aziende, an Italian studio, builds custom tools for restaurants, pizzerias and small dining rooms. An assistant answers table requests on WhatsApp and your website and hands you a summary to confirm; the AI also drafts review replies and menu copy, which you approve. It starts with a free 30-minute call.

Where the day goes

  • Messages land in the middle of service

It's 8:30 pm, every table is full and the tickets keep coming. Your phone lights up: 'table for four on Saturday?'. Nobody in the kitchen can answer, and by the time you read it the next morning, they've booked somewhere else.

  • Reviews sit unanswered for days

A bad review goes up on Friday night and you see it on Monday. A good reply needs a calm head, which you don't have after closing. Meanwhile, everyone choosing where to eat reads the complaint and nothing else.

  • Every menu change eats an afternoon

New seasonal dishes mean rewriting descriptions, allergen notes, the Instagram caption and the lunch specials board. Either you do it after a double shift, or it doesn't get done.

  • The same five questions, every night

Is there parking? Are dogs allowed? Do you have dairy-free pizza? When does the kitchen close? Fair questions, but each one pulls your head out of service.

What the AI actually does

Table requests collected on WhatsApp and your site

The assistant replies with your real details: closing days, kitchen hours, how big your tables are. It takes the name, number, party size, preferred time and notes such as a high chair or an allergy, then passes the request to you. You send the confirmation.

Example
Thursday, 9 pm, a WhatsApp message arrives: 'Six of us on Saturday, one is coeliac'. The assistant asks for a preferred time, answers with what your allergen sheet says and passes the request to someone on your team. After service you check with the kitchen and confirm with one message.

Review replies drafted in your voice

Paste or forward the review and the AI drafts a reply in your tone: thanks the guest, owns the problem if there was one, invites them back. You edit it and post it yourself from your Google profile.

Example
Monday morning, three reviews are waiting: two compliments and one complaint about a long wait for pizza. Five minutes later you have three distinct drafts, and you add to the third that there's now an extra pizza chef on Saturdays.

Daily specials and posts written from your notes

Dictate today's specials or the new menu and the AI writes the website text, the message for your regulars and the social caption. Allergens come from your own dish sheet, which stays the source of truth: if a dish isn't on it, nothing gets made up.

Example
At 11 am you dictate in the kitchen: 'white ragù tagliatelle, salt cod with chickpeas, tiramisu'. Before lunch the copy is ready, with allergens next to each dish, waiting for your check.

Reminders for every booking

Guests who book through a dedicated page get a reminder the day before and a few hours before. Anyone who can't come lets you know, and you free the table yourself in time to give it to someone else.

Example
A couple booked for Friday gets the morning reminder, remembers a family dinner and phones you at lunchtime. By 6 pm you've already given that table for two to someone who'd asked for one.

Custom tools for your kind of restaurant

Every place has its own weak spot: group dinners, the Friday takeaway rush, suppliers to call every morning. We build the missing piece around the way you already work.

Example
A trattoria that hosts many company dinners wants headcount, set-menu choice and deposit gathered in one place: we build the form and the summary the owner receives.

How we get started

Three steps, and the first one is a no-strings conversation.

  1. 1

    Free intro call

Thirty minutes online, at a time well away from service. Tell us how bookings reach you, who answers messages and how long reviews and menus take. If AI won't help, we'll tell you.

  2. 2

A prototype built on your menu and hours

We build a first version with your real details: dishes, allergens, closing days, rules for large groups. You test it by messaging it like a guest would, before you decide anything.

  3. 3

    Live in your dining room

You use it on real evenings, we adjust it whenever a reply doesn't sound right and update it when the menu changes. Every confirmation and every public reply stays in your hands.

Why AI per Aziende

No booking is confirmed without you

The assistant gathers and drafts, but tables, review replies and guest messages are approved by you. Your restaurant always speaks in your own voice.

Software built around your service

Management tools and WhatsApp and Telegram bots are things we build to order, and three industry-specific platforms of ours are already live. A set-menu form for company dinners with deposits, or an end-of-service request summary, is that kind of job.

Your menu and guests stay yours

Even if you part ways with us, the assistant's code and instructions stay with the restaurant. Your dish sheet, allergens and guest numbers serve only the assistant, and we never train other models on them.

Frequently asked questions

How can AI help a restaurant?

Mainly by taking the side work off service. An assistant answers WhatsApp and website messages, collects booking requests and handles recurring questions about hours, parking and dietary needs. The AI also drafts replies to reviews and copy for your menus. You confirm and publish, so guests are always dealing with your restaurant, not a faceless system.

Can the AI assistant take bookings over the phone?

No, we don't answer phone calls today. The assistant works on WhatsApp, your website and Telegram: guests who message you get an instant reply, even during the dinner rush. On WhatsApp the connection sometimes needs re-linking by hand after an update, and we tell you that upfront. You confirm the table when you have a minute.

Does it work with OpenTable or my booking system?

We don't currently plug directly into booking platforms or existing restaurant management systems. The assistant works on the channels you control, WhatsApp, your website and Telegram, and hands you requests in a tidy summary. If you need systems to talk to each other, we discuss it on the call and tell you honestly whether it can be done.

Can the AI answer allergen questions?

Yes, but only from what you write in your dish sheet. In the EU, Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011 requires restaurants to give information on the 14 main allergens, and responsibility for it stays with you. So the assistant never guesses ingredients: if a dish isn't on the sheet, it says so and passes the question to you or your staff.

Should I use AI to reply to Google reviews?

As a writing aid, yes. You give us the review and the AI drafts a reply in your tone, different every time, which you check and post from your own Google profile. Replying regularly shows future guests that the restaurant listens. We never post anything on your behalf: the name under the reply is yours.

Will guests know they're talking to an AI assistant?

Yes, and they should. In the EU, the AI Act requires that people are told they're dealing with a chatbot from the first message, unless it's obvious, and that rule applies from 2 August 2026. The assistant introduces itself as the restaurant's assistant and hands over to you or your team whenever a person is needed.

How much does AI cost for a restaurant?

It depends on covers, services and channels: a table-request assistant for a forty-seat trattoria is a different job from a system for group dinners and takeaway. On the free 30-minute call we look at how your place runs, then send you a written price before any work starts.

How quickly can it be up and running?

We need your menu, hours, closing days and allergen sheet: after the call the prototype is usually ready within a few working days. You test it by messaging it like a guest, awkward Saturday-night questions included. It's best to go live in a quiet week, not right before the holidays.
